Lee McCarthy

I produce artwork mostly on canvas using acrylic or oil although i do use watercolour from time to time. I paint harbour scenes and coastel landscapes mostly as I have been inspired by visits to these places from a child. I do paint other subjects including still life, cityscapes and abstracts. photographs and sketches are used as a visual reference for my paintings. My inspiration comes from many sources - holidays in cornwall, wales and portugal or days out with the family. I like experimenting using different media and styles to create a certain subject. Some of my paintings are from memory and you might find some of my work quite quirky and naive. I hope you can enjoy my paintings as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
