Breeze

Bella Gingell - Framed in black with mount ready to hang. The first in a series of dandelion water colour and Indian Ink, this is one of my favourite pictures of 2011. Dandelions sprung up in the bad field to our house. Possibly too numerous to be seen as beautiful, the child in me always loves the seed heads; once known as fairy clocks. It is this magic I have tried to capture in the design; the movement of air as it circles and waves through the plant. Each seed head opens to the sky, just waiting for a breeze to lift a precious seed into the blue.

I have been told being born and bred in the West Country (near Bath) shows through in my work. Like script, our personality can show in our hand so maybe this is true.
