The First Onions

Jean Simpson - A little gem of a painting that depicts a scene of late summer in France. The first onions have been gathered and placed onto a bench with geraniums and wine flagons. Painted in oils on stretched canvas, the heat of the day is seen in the tones and colour harmony. The finished work has been mounted on board and placed within a deep mount which defines the painting with a slim gilt edge. The bespoke framing is finished with a fine, wide frame of antique gilt to present a warm, cheerful painting that will enhance any setting. The Gallery image has been watermarked in order to protect my copyright.
