The colours on the water and those in the fields and trees in this scene caught my eye one afternoon and I immediately wanted to paint it.. I used oils on a stretched canvas and decided to prepare it with a strong purple-red to depict the plum tones seen in the landscape. Areas of the canvas have been purposely left without further paint in order for this tone to be seen throughout the painting. The image has been carried over onto the sides to allow the painting to be hung without a frame if preferred. The finished work is a tranquil, warm painting that will enhance any setting. The gallery image has been watermarked in order to protect my copyright
