Copper Teapot with Hydrangeas

Jean Simpson - This copper teapot was bought from a French brocante that wound around a Charente village. I added dried hydrangea flowers to allow their subtle colours to harmonise with those in the copper. Painted in oils on a stretched canvas measuring 10x12x0.75ins it is presented in a wooden frame chosen to enhance the muted tones throughout the painting. A photograph is available to show the framed work. The gallery image has been watermarked in order to protect my copyright
