I did this painting from a photo of Ullapool quay taken on rather a damp August afternoon in 1992. I wonder if Ullapool (western highlands of Scotland) has changed much since then? There still was a fishing industry, even if a couple of fishing-boats were beached.

I used pastel on Ingres paper. I enjoyed getting all the fine detail of the boats, using tiny pieces of pastel.

Frame: This picture is mounted, and framed (with glass).
