Eddie Burrows

I was born in Dorset in 1950 and have had a lifetime affiliation with the sea. In 2001 I moved to Beer in Devon to fulfil a life long ambition to become a professional artist.

Previously I had a career as a structural engineer and a skipper of a sail training yacht.

I like my art to be attractive and by looking at the environment, sea and landscape make it aware of the climate to determine the atmosphere within the painting. As with most artists I am inspired by other artists such as Kurt Jackson, Monet and Turner.

I work in acrylics and mixed media, the subjects are mainly of my favourite West Country harbours and sea scapes
