I have drawn and painted for over 30 years and most of my early efforts have not seen the light of day. However, early retirement five years ago prompted a resurgence of enthusiasm and I joined several local art groups, received excellent tuition from local professional artists and really got going!

I try to paint loose atmospheric landscapes working on site initially with pen and pencil sketches to get tone and perspective and I also use a digital camera to create a rough scene. I accept commissions to paint any particular favourite landscape, or house and garden - in short, whatever moves you!

I paint watercolours mainly of Somerset landscapes and in the last four years I have had successful solo exhibitions at East Lambrook Manor, Hambridge Smokery Restaurant, Monks Yard, Illminster, and at North Curry Coffee Shop/Restaurant. Also with others at the Galleries at The Meeting House, Illminster and South Petherton, Barrington Court, Somerton Parish Rooms as well as various Craft Fairs and Markets.
