Amanda McAndrews

Amanda paints full time and often exhibits her work in prestigious galleries and institutions around the country. Her current work includes Daisy Daisy, Fisherman's Cottage, Waterfront, Boatman's Rest, Beach Steps and West Quay, all of which can be bought by clicking on her gallery page.

Amanda Specialises in oil painting and particuarly enjoys painting all forms of plant life and landscapes and the human body. She sees her art as a demands of modern life and her work often contains both a personal and poignant symbolism.

Now resident on the beautiful Isle of Wight, Amanda enjoys exploring the stunning coastline and experimenting with new techniques that will enable her to portray this beauty to her audience.

After graduating from university with a degree in Fine Art and History of Art, Amanda went on to study for her M.A. before undertaking a teaching post at college.
